This study examined the relationship between family climate and withdrawal behavior among elementary school students, aiming to identify the extent to which the family environment influences children’s social adjustment. A descriptive correlational design was employed, using the Family Climate Scale and Withdrawal Behavior Scale developed by Dr. Mohammed Adel (2002), whose validity and reliability were confirmed. The sample consisted of 160 randomly selected students from various schools to ensure representativeness. Data were analyzed using SPSS to obtain descriptive and inferential statistics. Results indicated a significant negative correlation between family climate and withdrawal behavior, suggesting that a positive family atmosphere reduces social withdrawal. No significant gender differences were found in withdrawal behavior, implying that such behavior is shaped by contextual rather than biological factors. The study highlights the crucial role of a supportive family environment in promoting healthy social behavior and preventing emotional isolation in children.
