Abstract: This study investigates how Emirati female diplomats employ social media platforms for their professional practices. This study employed Media Determinism Theory to analyze eight Emirati women diplomats’ interviews through Braun and Clarke’s (2017) six-step thematic analysis of in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that digital media serve as essential tools for women to create strategic self-representations, which enable them to amplify their roles, participate in policy discourse, and build empowerment. The research offers practical recommendations for policy development, enhancing digital training, and protective strategies to strengthen women’s participation in diplomacy. It also calls for further research on the intersection of new technologies, with implications for both the Gulf region and international diplomatic contexts.
