Authors : Benhida Mohammed .

Abstract

Abstract: The Algerian constitutional founder has granted sacred significance to freedom of belief through the 2016 constitutional amendment by enshrining the right to protect personal data as part of the manifestations of the right to private life under Article (46), paragraph four. The legislator clarified this meaning by issuing Law 18-07 concerning the protection of natural persons in the field of processing personal data, wherein freedom of belief was included among personal data, considering it sensitive information covered by protection. Thus, Algerian law strengthened the protection of freedom of belief, a trend confirmed by numerous judicial rulings.
