The integration of authentic podcasts into the flipped classroom model is increasingly recognized in foreign language education, as it promotes both autonomous learning and communicative competence. This study investigates the use of the Easy German Podcast as an authentic learning tool in teaching German as a foreign language (DaF) to first-year beginner students at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Oran 2. The methodology involved a case study with 24 students who engaged with selected podcast episodes at home and participated in interactive activities during class sessions. The analysis focused particularly on a flipped-classroom lesson addressing “verbs with prepositions” for beginner students. The results indicate significant improvements in listening comprehension, increased active oral participation, as well as enhanced motivation and speaking confidence among learners. This study provides empirical evidence of the didactic potential of combining flipped classroom and podcasting, contributes to the scholarly discussion on the use of digital and authentic materials in DaF instruction, and offers perspectives for innovative, learner-centered teaching approaches in higher education.
