The study aims to shed light on the topic of entrepreneurial orientation among university students in Algeria by identifying the motivating factors that lead Algerian students to establish and manage their own projects, and how the societal environment influences this orientation. This is particularly relevant in the context of the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education—and the state in general—adopting a supportive policy for startups and innovative projects, as exemplified by Ministerial Decree No. 1275 issued in 2022 concerning the "Startup Certificate." The study population consisted of students from the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences, and Management Sciences at Setif-1 University, majoring in Business Administration, class of 2023/2024. A questionnaire was distributed to all students in this major to explore their views on entrepreneurship and the idea of launching their own projects. The study found that over 75% of the students exhibit an entrepreneurial orientation, as they prefer to create their own businesses rather than pursue employment in the public or private sector
