The Role Of The Blue Economy In Supporting The Gdp Of Asean Countries: A Case Study Of Fisheries Revenues From 2013-2022

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the role of fishing and aquaculture activities, as one of the indicators of the blue economy, and their impact on increasing the GDP rates of the ASEAN. Standard modeling was used to analyze data from 2013-2022, relying on the Smart PLS-4 program. The study found differences in this impact regarding the individual contribution of each country, varying from weak, medium to strong, while the impact was more pronounced in the integration process, as the combined contributions of the countries had a strong effect on increasing ASEAN'S GDP rates.
