Abstract: Abstract : The poem is bound to the homeland by a profound relationship of attraction and inseparability. The poet, being rooted in her land, is both influencing and being influenced by it, seared by its wounds and tragedies, and gladdened by its joys and celebrations. These sentiments are then shaped into a poetic text that rises upon the aesthetics of language, with its diversity of styles and imagery, within a unique artistic structure, especially when the poet’s self is that of a woman. The female poets of the Hodna region have voiced their love and deep attachment to their national identity in a language that is simple, free from ambiguity and verbal affectation. In so doing, they have created a distinctive lexicon that conveys a wide spectrum of emotions and sentiments towards the beloved homeland, with all its pains and hopes. The woman–poet takes pride in her belonging, honours it, glorifies its struggle for liberation, mourns its martyrs, and sings of its landmarks and achievements in women’s folk poems that embody the truest expression of her heartfelt emotions.
