This study focuses on the development and regulation of financial technology (FinTech) in Algeria. It aims to examine the role of regulatory and supervisory bodies in ensuring a balance between innovation and oversight, with a particular focus on laws governing FinTech, including regulations related to cryptocurrencies and other digital financial services. The study employs a descriptive and analytical methodology to assess how these regulations influence the sector while promoting sustainable growth. The study finds that while Algeria has made significant strides in establishing regulatory frameworks, challenges persist in aligning innovation with effective oversight. The study recommends enhancing regulatory clarity, strengthening institutional coordination, and promoting stakeholder awareness to support the sustainable development of FinTech in Algeria.
