This study analyzes the role of the European Union (EU) in post-conflict peacebuilding processes. It examines the EU's comprehensive conceptual framework, which links security with development through short-term stabilization and long-term policies aimed at addressing the root causes of conflict. The EU employs an integrated set of mechanisms, including diplomatic initiatives led by the European External Action Service (EEAS), development and humanitarian aid, and conflict prevention and management strategies. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of these efforts is significantly challenged by internal institutional fragmentation and the divergent interests of member states , in addition to complex regional and international pressures within a shifting global order. The study concludes that enhancing the EU's role as an effective global peacebuilder requires greater internal cohesion and improved coordination, alongside the critical integration of emerging threats, such as climate change, into its strategic framework.
