Abstract
Abstract: This paper aims at studying the role of artificial intelligence AI in facing the fake news by analyzing the practical techniques and applications that help check the validity and detect the fake content. In this context, the study tackles the algorithms and tools used in natural language processing, machine learning, and data analysis, shedding light on their capacities to recognize the linguistic and semantic patterns of the misleading information. Findings show that despite its advantages, AI cannot substitute the human and institutional efforts; rather, it is part of a whole system that requires an organizational and ethical frame to foster the reliability of information.
