Using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), this study evaluates the effectiveness of Islamic financing options at Al Salam Bank in Adrar, Algeria, between 2020 and 2023. The ways in which Murabaha, Mudarabah, Ijarah, Salam, and Istisna convert allotted funds into beneficiaries and profits are assessed using both constant and variable returns to scale input-oriented models. The findings indicate that while other modes showed varying degrees of inefficiency, primarily as a result of underutilised outputs, Mudarabah for Institutions and Murabaha for Individuals consistently achieved full efficiency. Efficiency trends were heavily impacted by scale effects and changing operational procedures. The results offer useful advice for maximising resource allocation and improving Islamic financing performance, as well as empirical insights from a branch-level perspective in an emerging market.
