The Food Sovereignty In Ukraine War Geopolitical Context: A Look At Chinese, Ukrainian And Russian Experiences

Authors : Touatit Lotfi .

Abstract

This contribution looks at the issue of food sovereignty in the context of the war in Ukraine, in particular the strategies developed by China, Russia and Ukraine in this area: how do these three countries go about achieving their food security objectives, and with what results? This comparative analysis (structured around three axes dedicated to each case study) revealed that food security is above all dependent on a strong interventionist policy and that the purely liberal logics are far from being adapted to this objective.
