Abstract
This article explores the substantive and procedural requirements for the protection of inventions in Algeria under national legislation, emphasizing their role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. It outlines that legal protection is contingent upon meeting conditions such as novelty, inventive step, industrial applicability, and legality, in addition to fulfilling formal procedures like application submission and patent registration. The article concludes that strengthening this legal framework supports inventors and encourages investment in research and development, and it offers recommendations to streamline procedures and raise legal awareness.
