Le Labyrinthe Comme Métaphore De La Métamorphose ? étude Comparée De L’œuvre D’apulée Et La Saga Harry Potter

Auteurs : Ouachour Fatima .

Abstract : Associated with mystery and danger, the ancient concept of the labyrinth most often translates an initiatory journey prior to metamorphosis or even redemption. The labyrinth, whether materialised by traces, forks or symbolised by a winding path, embodies the instability and trial necessary to the quest for one's inner self. Ancient and modern literature shows that it is always necessary to go through trials before the main character or hero can reach a state of transformation beyond the initial state. This is particularly true of Apuleius' novel The Golden Ass and The Metamorphoses, as well as the literary saga Harry Potter. With the world of magic in common, these two novels of initiation reveal the omnipresence of the labyrinth as an allegory of metamorphosis.
