It estimates the impact of three types of exchange rate regimes—fixed, floating, and intermediate—on per capita GDP across 46 countries, most of which experienced civil wars, over the period 1974 to 2018. The analysis is based on the de facto classification of exchange rate regimes developed by Reinhart and Rogoff (2018) and employs static panel data models. The results indicate that the fixed effects model (FEM) is more appropriate to capture the relationship. Among the regimes, floating exchange rate systems appear to be the most effective in supporting post-conflict economic recovery. The study underscores the importance of maintaining political stability, allocating foreign aid toward financial sector development, addressing corruption, and adopting more flexible exchange rate regimes to promote financial resilience. Keywords: exchange rate regime, post-conflict, economic recovery, political stability. Jel Classification Codes : F31;F35;F43;C23
