Exploring The Role Of Social Enterprises In Improving Local Development In The Philippines : Dochsei’s Case

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to identify the role of social enterprises in local development. Through a case study of a well-known social enterprise in the Philippines « DOCHSEi », We tried to explore how this enterprise could have an impact on community development in Davao Oriental by analyzing its contributions to the region in terms of social, economic, and environmental aspects in line with the Philippine National Vision 2040 which is aligned with the Sustainable Development goals.
