This study aims to analyze the impact of investment in digital training on competency development in academic contexts, focusing on the dimensions of digital training: digital infrastructure, digital training and development, and digital educational resources, and their role in enhancing employees' technical, professional, and personal competencies. The study was conducted on a random sample of 50 employees at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Djillali Liabes University, using a specially designed questionnaire. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology to analyze the data and test the hypotheses using SPSS version 26. The findings revealed positive and statistically significant relationships between investment in digital training and competency development. Digital training and development, along with digital educational resources, showed the most substantial impact, while the effect of digital infrastructure was limited. The results confirmed that digital training significantly enhances technical and professional competencies, and digital educational resources contribute to the improvement of technical and personal competencies. The study recommended improving digital infrastructure, designing specialized digital training programs, increasing the use of digital educational resources, and implementing an integrated strategy that combines these dimensions to achieve comprehensive competency development.
