Abstract: This research examines verses related to the duty towards parents in the following chapters: Al-Isra, Al-Ankabut, Luqman, and Al-Ahqaf. It explores points of agreement and divergence in the wording of these verses, analyzing their impact on meaning. The study aims to elucidate and contextualize these similarities and differences, uncovering wis-dom, benefits, and guidance therein. Emphasized in this research is the significance of appreciating the literary miracles and reinforcing the importance of honoring parents. The research seeks to address several inquiries, notably: What wisdom underlies the linguistic similarities in verses enjoining kindness towards parents? To what extent do these similarities exist across the verses, and how do they differ? What benefits and insights can be gleaned from these differences and agreements? The methodological approach adopted is analytical and inductive, tracing recurring phrases in the Quranic verses, followed by studying and contextualizing these phrases to highlight their significance and implications. Key findings include: firstly, the Quran's use of the term "parents" over "father and mother" in verses concerning kindness and supplication, prioritizing the mother's rights alongside the father's. Secondly, the juxtaposition of earnest exhortation and urgency towards avoiding associating partners with God by parents in the verses of Luqman compared to Al-Ankabut, justifying the omission of the term "kindly." The verses of Al-Ankabut and Luqman stand out by directing adherence to God, correlating with their uniqueness in emphasizing parents' efforts against polytheism as a warning for obedience. Thirdly, variations in the degrees of honoring parents: treating believing parents kindly, as in the verses of Al-Isra and Al-Ahqaf, versus treating parents engaged in polytheism with goodness, as in the verse of Al-Ankabut, and accompanying parents engaged in polytheism with decency, as in the verse of Luqman.
