This study looks at how key economic factors affected Algeria's unemployment rate from 1991 to 2023 using the ARDL model, and the dynamic cumulative multiplier was employed to ensure the reliability of the analysis. Results show that unemployment is not impacted in the short run by economic growth. Long-term unemployment is likewise unaffected by governmental spending and inflation. On the other hand, long-term unemployment is adversely impacted by oil prices, GDP, FDI, and domestic credit to the private sector. These factors are essential for lowering unemployment through increased output, assistance from the private sector, and the growth of SMEs through funding, improved infrastructure, and diversification away from hydrocarbons. By improving labor market absorption and successfully lowering unemployment, this dynamic interaction creates a climate for sustainable growth.
