ملخص: تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة دور التكنولوجيا في تطوير المؤسسات كآفة؛ بحيث إنّ الاستخدام الأمثل لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصال في المؤسسة الاقتصادية يساهم في خلق بيئة عملية تنافسية تضمن الاستمرار وزيادة الإنتاجية؛ وكذلك توفر جهد ووقت الموارد البشرية وتحقق الرضا الداخلي والخارجي، وما يشهده العالم الحديث من تطور شامل في مجال التكنولوجيا يؤكد على فعّالية التقنيات في إحداث تغيرات جذرية خاصة لدى المؤسسات الاقتصادية، وهذا ما استوجب على المؤسسات للتوجه نحو مواكبة تلك التغييرات والدافعية للتسريع والتميز باستخدام الوسائل الاتصالية المبرمجة بتقنيات حديثة. وفي هذه الورقة البحثية نحاول معرفة أهمية تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصال من خلال محوين: الأول يتمثل في جانب المفاهيم أما المحور الثاني نتناول فيه تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصال في المؤسسات الاقتصادية. Abstract: Through this study we are going to know the role of technology in developing institutions, besides the positive utilising of information and communication technology in economic institutions creates a competing atmosphere keeps increasing of productivity, also it saves efforts and time and achieves the internal and external satisfaction. The effectiveness of technologies in making the radical changes especially in economic institutions is very clear in the modern world. These last push institutions to move towards keeping up with these changes, and being motivated to accelerate by using means of communication programmed with modern technologies. Through this research paper we trying to figure out the importance of information and communication technology through two chapters; the first one in terms of concepts, while the second treats the information and communication technology in economic institutions.
