Mass Culture Industry In Dubbed Turkish Drama Via Shahid Platform From The Perspective Of The Frankfurt School Of Criticism

Abstract

This study discusses the effectiveness and efficiency of the ideas of the pioneers of the Frankfurt School of Criticism in revealing and interpreting the mechanisms of the mass culture industry in the dubbed Turkish drama showcased on the digital entertainment platform "Shahid." The study relied on the Narrative Review method, through which it was found that projecting the foundations of the culture industry from the pioneers of the critical school onto the contents of the dubbed Turkish drama enabled us to understand its role in transforming every individual from the audience into a one-dimensional human.
