Abstract
In recent years, the world has witnessed significant advancements in artificial intelligence tools, which have become essential aids for researchers across various fields, particularly the ChatGPT application. Developed by OpenAI, this AI model employs deep learning to generate intelligent responses to user queries through tasks such as writing articles and data analysis. This study aims to explore the impact of this application on scientific research and assess whether its use compromises academic integrity or constitutes academic misconduct. Ultimately, we concluded that while AI tools offer substantial benefits to research by enhancing quality and reducing time, their unregulated use constitutes academic dishonesty and undermines the role of researchers
