الملخص
The topic of this study, is the translation of Quranic terminology into English, with a focus on tracing the impact of Tafsir on the translation process and how translators choose equivalents for these terms in the target language. Since terminology serves as a key to understanding any specialized field, Quranic terminology, in particular, is the gateway to comprehending and interpreting the Quranic text. Through an analytical and comparative study of selected examples from Quranic translations, this research paper examines the translation of Quranic terms into English and the role of Tafsir in this process. We have selected the term "Al-Furkân" as a case study, as it is one of the Quranic terms that has acquired a new specialized meaning within the Quranic discourse. The findings of this study underscore the importance and necessity of referring to Tafsir books to accurately understand the meanings of Quranic terms, enabling their clear and precise expression in English.
