الملخص
يسعى هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن أحد جوانب الفكر الغربي المدفوع بنية الهيمنة، وهي خطوة تعرف باسم الاستشراق. هذا الموضوع هو استكشاف لعلاقة متوترة بين طرفين تناط معرفتهما وقوتهما بأحدهما بينما يتم التعامل مع الطرف الآخر على أنه مجرد مسائل دراسة. كان للاستشراق سمات خطابية أو إبداعية، لكنه لم يكن خطابا يعكس الحقائق بل كان محاولة لتشويه الواقع وإعادة تشكيله من خلال الصور والصور النمطية المفضلة. الخطابات الاستشراقية حول تونس هي أمثلة جيدة على هذه الحقيقة. This paper aims to uncover one aspect of western thought driven by hegemonic structure, a process known as orientalism. This subject is an exploration of a strained relationship between two parties whose knowledge and power are vested in one while the other party is treated as mere study matters. Orientalism had rhetorical or creative features but it was not discursive that reflected the actualities but rather it was an attempt to distort and reshape reality through preferred images and stereotypical pictures. The discourses of orientalism about Tunisia are good examples for this fact.
