Artificial Intelligence Techniques In The Service Of Educational Guidance: Opportunities And Challenges

Authors : Abdelkader Hanna .

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the transforming possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) approaches in educational assistance, addressing both the opportunities and the difficulties they provide. Analyzing a spectrum of artificial intelligence applications—machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and virtual/augmented reality—it looks at their ability to personalize learning experiences, offer real-time data-driven insights, and maybe reduce human bias in counseling. Particularly helping underprivileged students who might lack access to conventional support, the paper emphasizes the potential of artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and scalability of educational aid services. But it also critically addresses the inherent difficulties, including algorithmic bias resulting from skewed datasets, important data privacy and security issues, the possibility of less human interaction and empathy in the guidance process, and the risk of widening the current technological divide by unequal access to AI-powered tools. Emphasizing the need of varied and representative datasets, regular bias audits, transparent AI decision-making processes, strong data privacy protections, a hybrid model that combines AI with human mentoring, and targeted initiatives to bridge the digital divide and ensure equitable access to AI-driven educational guidance for all students, regardless of background, the study ends with recommendations to help to mitigate these challenges.
