This research addresses the topic of environmental philosophy, which remains a fertile idea within the field of philosophical studies in our time. In this study, I sought to delve into the concept of environmental philosophy as a new philosophical domain belonging to the field of applied ethics. This includes areas such as the philosophy and ethics of medicine, bioethics, professional ethics, communication ethics, and environmental philosophy. In this research, I examined the key issues explored by contemporary environmental philosophers, such as environmental problems, their relationship with the Industrial Revolution and its consequences, and the role of modern rationality in generating new environmental challenges. I also addressed the issue of environmental awareness in the thought of philosopher Roger Scruton and the topic of ecofeminism as explored by Vandana Shiva, the Indian philosopher, and Françoise d’Eaubonne, the French philosopher. Furthermore, I examined deep ecology in the work of Norwegian philosopher Arne Næss. Subsequently, I analyzed some contemporary environmental issues, such as pollution, waste, and wars, and their negative impact on the environment. Finally, I reached key conclusions derived from this research, emphasizing the relationship between philosophy and the environment and its role in guiding and rationalizing human behavior in relation to the natural world.
