The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies has led to significant changes in how we interact with language and engage in cross-cultural communication. AI applications, such as machine translation and text analysis, have facilitated communication between individuals from different parts of the world, thereby enhancing mutual understanding. However, this progress may also have unintended effects on cultural identity, as certain cultural nuances might be lost in the translation process. This highlights the importance of developing AI technologies that consider cultural and linguistic diversity, ensuring effective communication without negatively impacting cultural identity. Additionally, raising awareness of how AI should be used in ways that preserve cultural specificities is crucial. AI systems should be trained to understand different cultural contexts to ensure a more balanced and transparent interaction in cross-cultural communication.
