Résumé
Abstract Autonomous vocabulary acquisition represents a fundamental aspect of foreign language didactics, particularly in German, due to its impact on the development of communicative skills. This research focuses on the autonomous lexical learning of Algerian university students studying German. It aims to examine strategies and methods that contribute to sustainable vocabulary enrichment. The study highlights the need to precisely define the concept of vocabulary and analyze its role in foreign language acquisition. The analysis of the underlying cognitive mechanisms helps identify the most effective pedagogical strategies to enhance autonomous vocabulary acquisition. The adopted methodology is based on an examination of didactic approaches and mnemonic techniques, addressing several key aspects: the integration of vocabulary into German language teaching, the impact of different lexical categories on learning, the strategies facilitating word assimilation, and the mechanisms ensuring long-term retention. The findings of this study provide concrete solutions to improve vocabulary teaching in German and demonstrate its influence on students’ linguistic skills development, thus contributing to advancements in foreign language didactics research. ملخص يُعَدّ الاكتساب الذاتي للمفردات ركيزة أساسية في تعلّم اللغات الأجنبية، ولا سيّما اللغة الألمانية، لما له من أثر بالغ في تنمية المهارات التواصلية. تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء سُبُل تعلّم المفردات ذاتيًا لدى الطلاب الجزائريين في السياق الجامعي، وذلك من خلال تحليل الاستراتيجيات والأساليب التي تسهم في إثراء الرصيد اللغوي بصورة مستدامة. تُولي هذه الدراسة أهمية خاصة لتحديد مفهوم المفردات بدقة، فضلًا عن تحليل دورها في اكتساب اللغات الأجنبية. ويُعَدّ تفكيك الآليات المعرفية المرتبطة بها عاملًا جوهريًا في استنباط أنجع الاستراتيجيات البيداغوجية التي تعزّز التعلّم الذاتي للمفردات. ترتكز المنهجية المعتمدة على دراسة المقاربات التعليمية والتقنيات الذاكرية، مع التركيز على محاور رئيسة، منها: إدماج المفردات في تدريس اللغة الألمانية، تأثير اختلاف أنواع المفردات في عملية التعلّم، الاستراتيجيات الكفيلة بتيسير استيعاب الوحدات اللغوية، والآليات التي تكفل ترسيخها على المدى البعيد. وتكشف نتائج هذه الدراسة عن حلول عملية من شأنها الارتقاء بأساليب تدريس المفردات في اللغة الألمانية، كما تُبرز أثرها الإيجابي في تنمية الكفايات اللغوية لدى الطلاب، مما يساهم في إثراء البحث العلمي في ميدان تعليم اللغات الأجنبية Résumé L’acquisition autonome du vocabulaire représente un axe fondamental en didactique des langues étrangères, en particulier en allemand, en raison de son impact sur le développement des compétences communicatives. Cet article explore l'acquisition autonome du vocabulaire en allemand par les étudiants algériens dans un contexte universitaire. Il vise à identifier les stratégies et méthodes permettant d’enrichir durablement le lexique. Il met également en évidence la nécessité de définir précisément le concept de vocabulaire et d’en analyser la fonction dans l’acquisition des langues étrangères. L’analyse des mécanismes cognitifs impliqués permet de déterminer les stratégies pédagogiques les plus efficaces pour favoriser l’acquisition autonome du vocabulaire. La méthodologie adoptée repose sur l’examen des approches didactiques et des techniques mnémotechniques, en abordant plusieurs aspects essentiels : l’intégration du lexique dans l’enseignement de l’allemand, l’impact des différentes catégories lexicales sur l’apprentissage, les stratégies facilitant l’assimilation des unités lexicales et les mécanismes assurant leur rétention à long terme. Cet article propose des solutions concrètes pour améliorer l’enseignement du vocabulaire en allemand et met en évidence son impact sur le développement des compétences linguistiques des étudiants, contribuant ainsi à l’avancement des recherches en didactique de l’allemand en tant que langue étrangère.
