Abstract
This study aims to identify Algeria's economic diplomacy towards the African continent in light of global geopolitical and economic changes. Africa represents a strategic depth for Algeria, which aspires to strengthen its economic footprint via a variety of channels, including trade, investment, and development cooperation. The significance of this topic stems from Algeria's attempts to diversify its economic alliances and lessen reliance on traditional markets, notably with the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area. The study seeks to more fully comprehend Algeria's policies for fostering its economic links with the continent, as well as to examine the opportunities and challenges it confronts in this regard. It employs a descriptive-analytical approach, focusing on economic facts and Algeria's foreign policy towards Africa. The study concludes that Algeria possesses enormous economic and diplomatic potential to increase its influence on the continent. However, the success of this plan depends on overcoming logistical and institutional challenges, as well as enhancing economic integration with African nations in the face of increased regional and worldwide competition. Cette étude analyse la diplomatie économique de l’Algérie envers l’Afrique face aux mutations géopolitiques et économiques mondiales. L’Algérie, consciente de l’importance stratégique du continent, cherche à renforcer sa présence économique à travers le commerce, l’investissement et la coopération au développement. La création de la Zone de libre-échange continentale africaine (ZLECAf) offre à l’Algérie une opportunité de diversifier ses partenariats et de réduire sa dépendance aux marchés traditionnels. L’étude, basée sur une approche descriptive et analytique, examine les politiques algériennes, ainsi que les opportunités et les défis liés à leur mise en œuvre. Elle met en lumière le potentiel économique et diplomatique de l’Algérie pour élargir son influence régionale. Toutefois, la réussite de cette stratégie dépendra de sa capacité à surmonter les obstacles logistiques, institutionnels et à renforcer son intégration économique avec les partenaires africains, dans un contexte de concurrence régionale et mondiale accrue.
