The Efforts Of Industrial Institutions In Enhancing Sustainability Through Adopting Iso 14001 Environmental Management System

Abstract
The study aims to highlight the advantages of adopting ISO 14001 standard in enabling industrial institutions to achieve environmental sustainability and optimize resource consumption during their production activities through the descriptive-analytical approach. It also illustrates the importance of adopting ISO 14001 standard in improving environmental, economic performance and enhancing the social responsibility of industrial institutions through addressing practical examples of local and foreign industrial institutions adopting this standard as a system to manage their internal environment. The study results have shown that the implementation of ISO 14001 brings about positive effects demonstrating its effective role in enabling and enhancing sustainability for institutions.
