Authors : Guellil Mohammed Reda .

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the representations of the parental image in children whose parents have separated. And know the perceptions they have of their parents. The most important element in the study of this topic are the children who are experiencing the divorce of their parents, and the starting point of this study through their family experiences is to study their representations of the parental image and family ties. The 'case study' approach was used on two adolescents of different sexes. Individual interviews were carried out with the cases using an interview guide, and the life story method was chosen as the method corresponding to the nature and objectives of this study. The data has been processed by content analysis. As a result, a set of results have been obtained, the most important of which are: the parental image disorder and the absence of the parental model in the representations of children. The family experience of the children gave rise to a desire to change families and references. The family atmosphere, represented by the absence of parental control, unacceptable family life and turbulent emotional relationships, has become a psychological trauma for these children.
