Abstract Alzheimer’s disease, one of the most prevalent types of dementia, profoundly impacts memory, reasoning, and behavior, often making continuous care essential. Family members who provide care face substantial physical and emotional challenges, which can negatively affect their own health and overall quality of life. This article highlights the crucial role of psychoeducational programs in enhancing caregivers' well-being by equipping them with skills to handle dementia-related symptoms, manage stress, and navigate the complexities of in-home caregiving. Psychoeducation programs focus on providing caregivers with a deeper understanding of Alzheimer’s disease along with practical stress management strategies. Research indicates that these programs significantly reduce stress and anxiety, while building resilience and improving caregivers' mental health. Techniques such as time management and group support have shown to be effective in reducing feelings of isolation, promoting better mental health, and even postponing the need for patient institutionalization. Case studies reveal that psychoeducational programs contribute to more enduring in-home caregiving, highlighting the importance of customized approaches. These specialized programs address individual caregiver needs, offering essential support to ensure patients with Alzheimer’s disease receive sustained, quality care over the long term.
