Abstract

The current modern world implies one to adapt to its unprecedented changes and structures and above all the rapid pace of convert. Throughout recent decades, countless alterations have dogged information technology and English for more than a century which went hand in glove with the development of teaching techniques, that eventually gained unprecedented prominence. This has led English to prosper as an international language that inflicts its teaching around the world thanks to its chief role as the language of research and innovation. The main objective of this paper is to understand the various parameters that empower English along with the changes brought by the contemporary world and invest such understanding in the field of specialized and competency-based language research, teaching methods design and language planning.
