False News In Algerian Legislation -an Analytical Study Of The Latest Relevant Legal Texts

الملخص
The Algerian legislator attempted to address the legal gap in combating fake news by introducing amendments to the latest relevant legislative texts. However, the question arises whether the legislator's endeavors in the general laws, represented by the penal code, and public laws, represented by media law, are sufficient to confront this "new crime." This study delves into this matter through a meticulous analysis of the latest relevant legal texts. It concludes that despite the diligent efforts of the Algerian legislator in this field, the ambiguity surrounding these legislations increases the likelihood of misinterpretation and, consequently, ineffective implementation. Therefore, there is a need to expedite a more precise definition of terms, at least in the practical applications of the new media law. .
