The investigative phase is crucial for gathering evidence and assets that constitute the corpus delicti. The aim is to prove involvement via a preliminary investigation by the judicial police officer. These pieces of evidence and assets are placed inside sealed packages labelled with details such as the name of the accused, the seizure code, and signature from judicial police officer; after that, they are filed to the Public Prosecutor. Proper handling of the seized assets is vital for the robustness of verdicts and judicial decisions. Such robustness is achieved by preserving the financial value of the seized assets and legally guaranteeing the rights of litigants. Consequently, evidence management during preliminary investigation includes transparency when it comes to role of the judicial police officer in collecting said evidence, as well as seizure-related details such as the monetary value of the seized assets.
