This study meticulously examines the role of Islamic finance within Algeria's housing sector, aiming to delineate its current state and propose strategic enhancements to augment its utility. A comparative analysis between Islamic and traditional loans reveals that the cost associated with Islamic banking is notably higher, potentially diminishing its appeal. For Islamic finance to emerge as a viable alternative funding source, it is crucial to mitigate operational costs and payment risks. Additionally, the financing of significant development projects via partnership and Murabaha agreements stands out as a pivotal strategy. A substantial enhancement can be achieved through the issuance of Islamic securities in the secondary market, thereby strengthening the financial architecture.
