The Role Of Quality Management In Improving Engineering Education Outcomes In Libya

Abstract
This paper aims to analyze engineering education system in Libya for sustainability, and to suggest how does quality education management could pointed to required development needed to achieve sustainability. The paper stressed that quality assurance management in higher education has a significant role on evaluating teaching process, and providing affective outcomes of values and qualifications. Quality assurance activities include assessing outcomes and evaluating courses, providing academic credit for affective outcomes, and designing realistic and acceptable learning outcomes. Furthermore, the main objective is to investigate factors that lead to provide effective outcomes; a survey was conducted on the engineering education system at the collage of engineering, at the University of Gharyan, Libya; the main goal is to improve engineering knowledge, technical skills, and research skills of the graduates. Therefore, providing high quality outcomes, and building trust between society and higher education institutions. Results showed that management commitment have a crucial role in successes of engineering education to achieve the noble goals to improve the engineering outcomes, and to achieve a sustainable future.
