Authors : Kadem Dounia . Maatouk Samia .

Abstract

This study emphasizes the critical importance of digitizing Zakat to enhance its role as a financing tool for sustainable development goals in Algeria, with a focus on the successful digitalization of Zakat in Indonesia. The research begins by analyzing the current state of Zakat and sustainable development in Algeria, highlighting the significant challenges faced by both and the urgent need for innovative solutions. It then examines the key stages of Zakat digitalization in Indonesia, showcasing the strengths and benefits derived from this process, and proposes a strategic framework for implementing similar digitalization efforts in Algeria through a descriptive-analytical approach. The study concludes that the Zakat system in Algeria remains underdeveloped and lacks the necessary technological advancements. It asserts that digitalization is the most effective solution to modernize the Zakat mechanism. By adopting advanced technologies, it is anticipated that donor trust in Zakat management will increase, thereby boosting Zakat collections and contributing to the successful financing of sustainable development goals.
