Evaluation Of The Physical Qualities Of The Middle-distance Athletes Of The National Military Team Of Algeria

Abstract
The middle distance has always been considered the most spectacular event in all athletics meetings. Indeed, national records are significant compared to world records like the athletes Morceli and Boulmerka. Military sport, thanks to the means put in place and the new policy of the Ministry of Defence to be present at all international events, has taken another dimension in the selection of athletes. It is in this context that our study is interested in the physical qualities and morphological characteristics of Algerian runners selected in senior military men’s national team in the discipline of halfin order to determine the physical and morphological characteristics for this athletic specialty, and to compare them to international standards.
