This study aims to analyze the extent to which the principle of local financial autonomy is enshrined in both the French and Algerian models, as it examines the most important points stated in the French constitution related to activating financial autonomy within the framework development of decentralization, in addition to addressing the manifestations of the actual embodiment of the principle of financial independence for local groups in the Algerian model The most important results reached in this study are that what is positive in the French model is not necessarily positive in the Algerian model and vice versa, and this stems from the environment, of course, and from the actual practice of the standards and mechanisms of the principle of financial autonomy in each model.
