Governance In Small And Medium Size Enterprises

Abstract
Corporate governance is one of the developed and adopted managerial approaches in all regional and international institutions and organizations. It aims to protect shareholders’ rights and all stakeholders by guiding the businesses of managers towards maximizing shareholder value through aligning the objectives of the enterprise with those of its owners. Through this work, we have attempted to investigate the concept of governance at the SMEs level where ownership and management meet and the Agency’s problem does not appear. Therefore, its managers’ work is geared towards the objectives of its various stakeholders in accordance with the expanded concept of governance corresponding to the stakeholders’ theory.
