To translate a word (or a passage) specific to a given field, it is required to truly understand what the field is all about. This is precisely what enticed us to really want to translate, and thus coin a new terminology in the realm of language learning, and more precisely in listening comprehension. Furthermore, it has been argued that that the term ‘appropriate’ to the place where the learners are exposed and receive the language they are learning is “laboratory”, the place of practice. The present paper aims at shedding some light on how precisely this place is for practice. This will allow endeavoring a translation of the term ‘laboratory’ into ‘practitiatory’. This latter reveals more overtly the idea of practice.
