Interpol’s Efforts In Fighting Against Environmental Crimes

Abstract
The global environment is increasingly threatened by widespread environmental crimes, which are regarded among the most serious types of crime due to their transboundary impacts and their adverse effects on human security and environmental stability. INTERPOL stands out as one of the most active international organizations in combating crimes globally, and it has made the fight against environmental crime one of its key priorities. This paper aims to define environmental crime, examine its essential elements, characteristics, and various forms, and highlight the main initiatives undertaken by INTERPOL to combat such crimes. تشهد البيئة العالمية انتشاراً واسعاً للجرائم البيئية التي تعد من أخطر الجرائم ، لما لها من آثار عابرة للحدود تهدد أمن الإنسان واستقراره في بيئته. و تعتبر منظمة الإنتربول من أكثر المنظمات الدولية نشاطًا في ملاحقة مرتكبي مختلف الجرائم حول العالم ، كما و قد جعلت مكافحة الجرائم البيئية من بين أهم أولوياتها. تهدف هذه الورقة إلى التعريف بالجريمة البيئية وأركانها وخصائصها وأشكالها ، بالإضافة إلى تسليط الضوء على أبرز المبادرات التي تولت منظمة الإنتربول الاشراف عليها في سبيل مكافحة الجريمة البيئية.
