This study examines the effectiveness of psychological and social support programs provided to victims of the fires that affected Al-Asabaa city in Libya. The crisis, which intensified in February 2025, caused widespread fear, anxiety, and social disruption among residents due to the unexplained nature of the fires. The research aimed to assess how psychological and social interventions helped affected families cope with the consequences of the disaster. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study surveyed 100 households selected from 368 affected families. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire. The findings showed that psychological support was provided in a timely manner, helped victims manage trauma, reduced stress, and increased their ability to cope with fear. Social support programs also played an important role by providing emergency services, clear information, and material assistance. Overall, participants expressed satisfaction with the services received. The study recommends strengthening support programs and conducting further research to improve disaster response and recovery efforts.
