The internationalization of scientific journals is assessed through a range of structural and scientific indicators that reflect their integration into international research networks. Among the most important are the internationalization of editorial boards, international authorship, and publication language. This study examines 27 Algerian scientific journals classified as “B”, analyzing a total of 7101 articles published between 2021 and 2025. The findings reveal considerable disparities among the three indicators within the same journal, indicating that strong performance in one dimension of internationalization does not necessarily translate into comparable performance in the others. Overall, the average level of editorial board internationalization reached 56.13%, while the International Authorship Index (IAI) averaged 20.91%, and the International Collaboration Index (ICI) remained limited at 1.93%. Regarding publication language, the results highlight varying degrees of policy shifts toward the increased use of English, reflecting different levels of commitment to internationalization across Algerian journals.
