This study aims to analyze the determinants and constraints of quality of life in Algeria at both macro and micro levels, through diagnosing the most influential factors hindering the achievement of an adequate standard of living. The study adopts a quantitative analytical approach with an empirical dimension, based on field data collected from a representative sample of various segments of Algerian society. In this context, the Pareto chart is employed as a methodological tool to classify and rank causes according to their frequency and relative significance. Furthermore, the 20/80 rule (Pareto principle) is applied to test the hypothesis that the majority of quality-of-life problems are concentrated within a limited number of economic and social factors. The study seeks to provide a structured interpretive analysis that highlights intervention priorities, thereby contributing to guiding policymakers toward more targeted and effective strategies for improving quality of life.
