The Impact Of Government Support Policies On Investment Attractiveness

Abstract
This research paper aims to examine the role of government support policies in diversifying the Algerian economy, based on an inventory of the main support mechanisms employed by the government, an assessment of the associated costs, and the outcomes achieved. The study has concluded with a set of findings that confirm the limited effectiveness of Government support mechanisms in diversifying the economy and attracting investments, alongside an increasing financial burden on the state budget and the emergence of adverse effects that hinder the process of attracting investments. In this regard, the authorities must change the Government support policies currently in place and adopt other, more effective measures and mechanisms to achieve economic diversification.
