Abstract

Organizational culture is often considered a decisive factor for talent retention. The purpose of this research is to assess the impact of organizational culture on talent retention, in order to shape a cultural model that enhance talent' intention to stay. Therefore, a quantitative, cross-sectional research design was employed. Data were collected via a survey from 68 employees working in a biotech firm in Algeria. The survey instrument measured perceptions of organizational culture dimensions (clan, adhocracy, hierarchy and market) along with the intention to stay attitude. Consequently, the results revealed that adhocracy (β = 0.31, p < .01) and clan cultures (β = 0.44, p < .01) had a significant positive impact on talent’ intention to stay; hierarchy culture had a negative impact on intention to stay (β = -0.13, p < .05); and in contrast, market culture (β = 0.10, p < .205) had no significant influence on intention to stay. Thus, the outcomes of this paper underscore the importance of fostering a supportive and collaborative culture to boost talent retention strategies.
