This study examines the role of artificial intelligence in shaping geostrategic competition among the three major powers: the United States, China, and Russia. It finds that artificial intelligence has contributed positively to the economic growth of these economies, albeit at varying levels, thereby intensifying competitive dynamics among them. The analysis reveals a significant relationship between economic growth and exports of advanced technologies, as well as between the exports and imports of information and communication technology (ICT) goods. Despite China’s substantial economic capabilities, the findings suggest that overtaking the United States remains unlikely in the near term, given China’s commitment to the principle of non-use of force and the United States’ enduring economic and financial strength.
