Authors : Sahli Assia .

Abstract

Bibliographies, scholarly programs and scholars are among the bibliographical compilations, which were famous in the middle Islamic world cities. In spite of the deep roots of this tradition among the scholars of the Islamic West and the important bibliographical works resulting from it, the contribution of the Central Maghreb scholars in bio-bibliographical sources is widely noticeable, as it experienced a significant shift since the beginning of the seventh/thirteenth century. This paper aims to provide a bibliographical inventory of the extant and lost bio-bibliographical compilations of the Central Maghreb scholars during the Islamic Middle Period
